A country girl at heart, Donna is a witty and entertaining storyteller. Donna is from Muirhead, a small village whose surrounding fields used to host cows and grow crops but now have taken to only growing houses. Her formative years there were a pleasure, listening to stories from her Mum and Dad's childhood and helping to tell these and other stories to the children who were always around the house. There was never a dull moment, and always an opportunity to join in.
Donna is an excellent all-round entertainer, as she sings and plays both the accordion and the guitar. A mother to two beautiful daughters, in 2011 she won the Glasgow Herald Aye Write Storytelling. Fully accredited and a multi-skilled trained Girl Guide leader with 25 years experience, Donna enjoys working with all age ranges and abilities. Highly regarded as a funny storyteller she often uses her talents as a mimic and has a wide range of accents. She often tells traditional stories, old favourites usually tweaked, with a twist in the tale somewhere. There'll be fun along the way with some audience participation, and the main aim is to laugh and have fun. A regular at both the Even Better Crack Club and the Better Crack Club, Donna’s comic monologues are not to be missed. Willing to travel across Scotland, Donna has told in a variety of different venues, be it to a 'handful' or a 'hallfull'. Donna hopes to meet up in a cupboard or a castle near you!
