The Indigo Jackal

This story has been contributed by Malaysian-Singapore storyteller Kamini Ramachandran. Kamini says of the story...

The story is about identity and crossing boundaries (physical geographical boundaries as well as moral/behavioural boundaries). The tale is usually told to discuss being true to oneself - that we don't need to pretend to be others (impostors or 'fake' selves). It is also about staying with 'the pack' and not wandering off alone, as soon we realize we cannot manage all alone without our community (the pack).

Part of the Open Word - Open World Outreach Resource Pack for the 2017 Scottish International Storytelling Festival.
