Hidden Door is officially open! 10 days of art, music, theatre, dance, poetry, film & more across 2 stunning venues https://t.co/Rimcp21f0N
Festivals seem to flourish, CDs still pour from the pressing plants, musicians are fizzing with ideas and skill. All seems to be well in the trad scene today, but what is the reality for musicians, promoters and venues? Are there enough gigs? Has the folk club had its day?
What do audiences want? The Traditional Music Forum hosts a day of first-hand accounts, reflections and ideas with leading figures from the scene, plus plenty of opportunity for discussion and practical proposals.
Speakers include musicians Pete Coe, Laura Beth Salter, David Foley and Fraser Bruce, with Carolyn Paterson (The Tolbooth), Stuart Miller (Falkirk Folk Club) and Douglas Robertson (SoundHouse).
A booking fee of £1 is charged per transaction for online and phone bookings. No booking fee is applied to tickets purchased in person from the Scottish Storytelling Centre Box Office.
We require five working days' notice of cancellation to guarantee a refund. You will receive an email reminder of your booking & a full programme in the week preceding the workshop.
