Whether it be pit ponies or war horses, wolves or sheep dogs, the poacher's ferret or the 21st century pampered house cat, humankind and animals have always had a close affinity with each other. Crofter's son Bob Mitchell grew up with animals and heard his first tales whilst sharing the air they breathed. You would be barking mad to miss it! Edinburgh's monthly storytelling night, currently held in the Fig Tree Bistro, St. Mary's Street.
