Fair Maid's House, 15-19 North Port, Perth PH1 5LU

This year's Development Day will focus on audience development, support for sustaining local groups and developing local projects. With peer-led opportunities to explore the more practical aspects of being a storyteller, there will also be time to reflect on the art and craft of storytelling that brings us all together.

We will work with an OpenSpace format where participants will set the agenda. The emphasis is on meaningful, productive discussion - instead of listening to eyes-forward presentations – creating space for reflection and creativity.

We are delighted to welcome writer, artist and storyteller Ian Stephen from the Isle of Lewis who will offer some creative inspiration exploring the theme of 'connecting through story.'  Ian will also tell us about his new book, Waypoints: Seascapes and Stories of Scotland's West Coast.

Open to professional storytellers, apprentices, educators, community workers and creative practitioners. Lunch is included, plus the opportunity to explore the treasures of Fair Maid's House - a perfect venue for storytelling! Book through the Scottish Storytelling Centre.
