Scottish Storytelling Centre Environmental Policy

Green Arts Initiative LogoThe Scottish Storytelling Centre is committed to monitoring its environmental impact and strives for continuous improvement by reducing the impact of our operations on the environment. This policy applies to the Storytelling Centre operations as well as to TradFest and the Scottish International Storytelling Festival and our partner organisation TRACS.

All staff are expected to work towards reducing waste and increasing sustainability through measures laid out in the centre’s staff guidelines and sustainability action plan. Staff should consider the environment when booking travel and encourage all performers to do the same.

We are members of the Green Arts Initiative, an accreditation scheme that enables us to become greener in our activities, and become part of a growing network of arts and culture organisations trying to reduce their environmental impact.

We also encourage our visitors, performers, suppliers and partners to consider their impact on the environment and take steps to decrease it.
