Ingried Boussaroque’s concert is a tale of waves, sand, seagulls, salt and longing. The story of Scots and Irish taking to the sea in the hopes of a better life in Canada, which lead to a journey of Vikings, islands, mountains, dance and music is juxtaposed with Ingried’s path from cosmopolitan Montreal to the outskirts of Scotland. An enjoyable blend of cultural traditions amidst unusual instruments like the kantele and the nay.
