The unofficial poet laureate of Edinburgh, Allan Ramsay was considered by Burns to be the greatest original 'genius' of pastoral whilst Hogarth honoured his caricatures with a series of sketches. Despite this he has been overlooked for the past 250 years as one of the prime movers of the Vernacular Revival and an outstanding songwriter and poet. This Ramsay concert aims to change that, with John Morran, Marc Duff and Fred Freeman.
