Just over seven hundred years ago, in 1286, a stormy Scottish night was the catalyst that shaped the course of Scottish politics, changing the lives of many millions in the process. Kati Waitzmann presents the story of Robert Wishart, Bishop of Glasgow and William Lamberton, Bishop of St Andrews, who fought with William Wallace and Robert Bruce in the Wars of Independence, and of a fateful letter written by Bishop Fraser to Edward I of England.
