THE ALAN BRUFORD LECTURE - A NIGHT IN THE FAIRY BRUGH: MUSIC AND DANCE THROUGH THE LENS OF GAELIC STORYTELLING

Tue 24 Oct

£7.50

Event Information Buy Tickets

While Gaelic music and dance practices are rich and reasonably well-documented, few writers on these subjects have proceeded from the culture’s own vantage point.

Dr Uilleam Lamb considers what we can learn about the Gaels’ traditional music and dance through their own intergenerational tales, drawing together sundry threads from Dr Alan Bruford’s substantial contribution to Scottish Ethnology, and provide a refreshing angle to a famous facet of Gaelic culture.
