Directory of Storytellers

Our Directory of Storytellers boasts over 140 professional storytellers from all over Scotland, all of whom are professionals and depend to some extent on storytelling as their livelihood. All storytellers listed in the directory can be booked for storytelling sessions and workshops through the Centre and are also eligible for subsidy through the Live Literature Fund (LLF) scheme, administered by Scottish Book Trust.

You can use the search functionality below to find the right storyteller for your event. The map tab will help you locate storytellers by area, but bear in mind that stotytellers are in most cases happy to travel outside their area of residence, just get in touch with them to check. All storytellers are freelance artists and not employees of the Storytelling Centre, but generally conform to our recommended fees which you can find here.
