Dig Where You Stand: Schools and Communities Campaign

The Scottish International Storytelling Festival launches the 2015 Schools and Communities Campaign ‘Dig Where You Stand’

Scotland’s landscape and communities are rich with local stories and legends, some hundreds of years old. Dig It! 2015, the year-long celebration of Scottish archaeology, in partnership with the SISF invites everyone to unearth a treasure-trove of stories and legends in their community or local area.

Will you sift through the sand of myth to recover the historical truth or will you present your findings whole, as facts layered with hundreds of years of legend?

From 1st September to 30th November the Scottish International Storytelling Festival invites everyone to go out on a different kind of dig, and collect local legends that connect your community to the area where they live, including landscape, built heritage and archaeological sites.
